Mouthwash may help freshen breath, support a balanced oral microbiome, remove food particles and enhance your overall oral hygiene routine, especially when used with brushing, flossing and oil pulling.

GuruNanda’s Dual Chamber Whitening Mouthwash is designed to gently lift surface stains using hydrogen peroxide and essential oils. In a consumer study, users experienced an average shade improvement of 3.1, with over 75% reporting at least a 3-shade difference. Individual results may vary.

Measure 3-5 teaspoons (15 ml), swish for one full minute, then spit. Do not swallow. Always follow the product-specific instructions on the label. Mouthwash can be used twice daily — ideally after oil pulling, brushing and flossing in the morning, and again after brushing and flossing later in the day.

Swallowing a small amount of mouthwash is usually not harmful, but larger quantities can be toxic, especially formulas containing alcohol, fluoride, or strong antimicrobials. 

According to Poison Control, ingesting too much mouthwash may cause nausea, vomiting, drowsiness or other symptoms depending on the ingredients. That’s why the American Dental Association advises against mouthwash use in children under six, who may accidentally swallow it.
