Cetylpyridinium chloride, or CPC, is an FDA-recognized active ingredient used in therapeutic oral rinses. It works by disrupting the cell membranes of plaque-forming bacteria, helping to control the buildup that leads to gingivitis and bleeding gums. At 0.05%, it is effective for daily use as part of a complete oral care routine.

Gingivitis is an early form of gum disease characterized by inflammation, redness, and bleeding of the gums. It is typically caused by plaque buildup along the gumline. This rinse uses CPC to help control plaque and reduce the conditions that allow gingivitis to develop, with consistent daily use.

Pour 20 mL into a cup, swish vigorously between your teeth for 30 seconds, then spit. Do not swallow. Use twice daily for best results. This rinse is not intended to replace brushing or flossing.

Adults and children 12 and older can use this rinse without supervision. Children between 6 and 12 should use it only under adult supervision. It should not be used by children under 6 years of age.
