Making DIY bath salts are incredibly easy, fun and inexpensive. We have come up with various recipes for you to try in honor of National Bath Day!

Ingredients for a better bath that you already have in your home:

Epsom salts – Helps ease sore muscles and relieve tension within your body. Magnesium helps smooth skin.

Baking Soda – Detoxifying & Soothing for your skin. Natural exfoliant that can help with various skin issues.

Fractionated Coconut Oil – Helps soften skin. Anti-inflammatory and anti- microbial properties are what help soften your skin.

Essential Oils – Easy to blend depending on what type of mood you’re in when it comes to bath time. The many aromatherapy benefits will help when combined with bath salts.

DIY Essential Oil Blend Recipes

8 – 10 drops of Lemon essential oil

8 – 10 drops of Rosemary essential oil

Benefit: Clear your mind

5 – 8 drops of Lemon oil

5 – 8 drops of Cedarwood oil

5 – drops of Orange oil

Benefits: Stress Relief & Strengthening

8 – 10 drops of Peppermint essential oil

8 – 10 drops of Eucalyptus essential oil

Benefits: Clear Up Tension and Sinuses

8 – 10 drops of Lavender essential oil

8 – 10 drops of Cedarwood essential oil 

Benefit: Calming

8 – 10 drops of Tea Tree essential oil

8 – 10 drops of Peppermint essential oil

Benefit: Balancing

5 – 8 drops of Lavender oil

5 – 8 drops of Tea Tree oil

5 – drops of Frankincense oil

Benefits: Detoxify

What You’ll Need:

1 1/2 cup of Epsom salt

1 cup of baking soda

1 Tbsp Fractionated Coconut Oil

20 – 25 drops of your favorite essential oil

Directions:

Combine all ingredients.

Once you are ready to take your detox bath, simply scoop out 1/2 cup of the bath salts into the Warm bath water.

Dim the lights.

Put on some relaxing music.

Soak your entire body for atlas 15 minutes, or until you feel relaxed.

Allow time after your bath to rest and rejuvenate.
